Ecogenomics of Groundwater Phages Suggests Niche Differentiation Linked to Specific Environmental Tolerance
نویسندگان
چکیده
To our knowledge, this is the first study to identify bacteriophage distribution in a groundwater ecosystem shedding light on their prevalence and across metal-contaminated background sites. Our uniquely based selective sequencing of solely extrachromosomal elements microbiome followed by analysis for viral signatures, thus establishing more focused approach phage identifications.

environmental effects of gol-e-gohar iron ore mine on groundwater of the area
gol-e-gohar iron ore mine of sirjan in southern part of iran is a large open pit that operates below the groundwater table and during mining operation, dewatering is required to prevent operation processes from flooding. current operation is going on by digging wells in or out of the pit and pumping to prevent flooding. as a result of the former dewatering operation a vast deep cone of depressi...
Niche of harmful alga Aureococcus anophagefferens revealed through ecogenomics.
Harmful algal blooms (HABs) cause significant economic and ecological damage worldwide. Despite considerable efforts, a comprehensive understanding of the factors that promote these blooms has been lacking, because the biochemical pathways that facilitate their dominance relative to other phytoplankton within specific environments have not been identified. Here, biogeochemical measurements show...

1-Introduction: Some researchers defined environment pollution as any change in properties of the environment members in a way that makes not only natural performance and biological balance disordered but also jeopardizes the benefits and the life of living creatures directly and indirectly. For centuries, different heavy metals, whether anthropogenic or earth-made, have been releasing into wat...
متن کاملNiche convergence suggests functionality of the nocturnal fovea
The fovea is a declivity of the retinal surface associated with maximum visual acuity. Foveae are widespread across vertebrates, but among mammals they are restricted to haplorhine primates (tarsiers, monkeys, apes, and humans), which are primarily diurnal. Thus primates have long contributed to the view that foveae are functional adaptations to diurnality. The foveae of tarsiers, which are noc...
